Default Can't pump my own fuel in NJ!!

I am working up in New Jersey for a while, and yesterday I went to get some fuel at the communist fuel station. I have come to find out that the fueling stations up here won't let you pump your own fuel. The man at the station was fueling my truck and as it filled up he still was pumping fuel as it was coming out of filler neck and overflowing on the ground for a few seconds full blast as I looked at him and he had this blank look on his face. the guy just shrugged his shoulders I don't think he spoke English. I asked him where a car wash was and he didn't know.I was dumbfounded what an idiot. and what a dumb law. I also found out they have an anti idling law up here.not bashing NJ just wondering how laws like that get passed.

I'm not going to be surprised if they made you pay for the $15 or so bucks they pumped on the ground. Then made you try and pay to have it cleaned up.

That is the law there. Some years ago(7) I rewire the holiday inn in carteret new jersey.Kinda the samething gas all over my 1993 supercharged ford lightning, the guy was like o well.I said I am not paying for the gas on the ground,he said yes you are.So I started to dial 1-877-927-6337.He said (Man I calling the cops)I said (I'm calling the EPA).Well that ended that my gas was half priced.

I know I have heard vegas and california have a no idling law after so many minutes... as far as I know a lot of states have gone to the no idling laws they aren't very talked about or as far as i have seen or heard enforced.

They are hitting the big trucks I know pretty heavy with the no Idleing thing. They arent allowed to Idle at all in some states whether its 40 below or 120 outside absolutely no Ideling but I have heard that if you have a pet in the vehicle withh you then you can (thanks peta) WTF its ok if a person dies from heat stroke or freezes to death but oh no cant have the poor little dog uncomfortable. Now dont get me wrong I can see not abusing the animal but what about the poor driver that needs to crawl in the bunk for some much needed rest that cant do so comfortably and get good rest at that?

As for the pumping your own gas thing that is just frickin nuts now I can see if it was like the old service station where they actually knew what they were doing and took care and pride in a customers vehicle but these morons that they have doing it now dont give a flying f about anything but gettin a check.

We were coming back from Pa. one time riding four-wheelers and there was a 40 some year old woman getting gas at the place we stopped, come in and asked the clerk if somebody could show her how to use the gas pump. She said she was from Jersey and had never pumped her own gas before, had no clue how to do it. And as for the no idling law, biggest bunch of BS those damn "Go Green" SOB's have ever passed. Tell the driver he's got to sleep by law, but not let him be comfortable to sleep, not to mention risking his life in certain temperatures

Oh and turbo20psi, if you ever make it down to West Point, Va in that good lookin Mooney of yours let me know. I'd like to go for a ride in that thing!!!

Its just an old law that never got repealed. I accually rather enjoyed it. When its freezing outside I just crack my window say 10 bucks please. Then they get mad because they cant just click it and leave they have to meter out the 10 bucks. and if they put more in its still only 10 bucks!
