Oops, forgot to mention I don't need a printer, just want to be able to load them on the computer, and print from there.

I used to have a bookmark from a photography site that said the Cannon PowerShot 530 is rated very high. The pics it takes rivals pics of $2000 cameras. Cant find the link at the moment but will post it when/if I find it.

Ive got a Kodak 6 mp....pics are ok, but I do wish the colors were a little more vivid. Whatever you get, make sure it has a quality optical lens and dont believe any of the BS about digital zoom. You want as much optical zoom as you can afford. 10-12X is great if you dont mind spending the $. Id say 6X is the minimum I would consider.

You can also check out some of the camera review sites on the net....

First if you want to have clear pics. and a camera that will last stay with Canon, Nikon, or Olypmus theses three are the best cameras out there. You really don't want a camera with AA batteries they don't last very long even with the rechargable ones, Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery is what you want it'll get the job done. You probably want an LCD screen so you can preview your pics. after you take them and at least 5x megapixals.

And don't be afraid to buy a refurbished camera they still come with the factory warrenty and there $100-$200 Cheaper than a brand new model.

I'll find a few good ones for you so you can choose what you want and, I'll get ya a good deal to.

Just bought the Panasonic Lumix FZ8, brand new model, wasn't even in stores yet. Real happy with it.

How long can you have it on before you see the low battery sign on it with my canon it's about 2 hours thats w/o turning it off. and after you use those AA batteries for a while (recharging them several times) they won't hold there charge for as long.
Thats been my experience but I take alot of pictures.
