need help with picking a GPS
ok i will start off with i am very dumb with these things so it HAS to be easy to use. i am looking at handheld units to take with me on the 4 wheeler. i have it narrowed down to either the garmin rino 110 or 120 or the garmin legend. i like the rino because it has the 2way radio and 1 rino can find another rino if we get seperated. my big question is how important is it to have a gps with a built in base map and also have the ability to add maps.?? thats the difference between the rino 110 and 120..

Go with a GPS or a transceiver- not both.
Have a look at the Garmin 60Csx. I love it. You can add a lot of additional maps and they are widespread available for free.
A 2-way radio consumes still a lot of batterie power. Just my thought. I love seperated units because of the redundant use. If one system fails the other is still active to use.

The basemaps are usually just that, basic without a lot of detail. Get one you can add your own maps and add in a good topo mapset and keep a seperate radio for just that, a radio
