Default Droid vrs Cup of Diet Mountain Dew

Well 2 days after I got my new Droid Eris my wife some how puts it into a full cup of Diet Mountain Dew.


I put it on top of the heat vent in the house for 1.5 days and it works just like brand new...... 0 Damage!!!!!

Cool luke... Glad its working again!

I usually remove the battery and drop the whole set-up in a bowl of uncooked white rice. Sucks the water right out, saved a few electronics like this.

Dessicant will also work for this.

The key to it is to not even attempt to power it up until its completely dried out.

I have the insurance so I wasen't to worried. But the Ins charges ya $89 for a new phone. But I guess thats better that $450.
