You know what grinds my gears?

Missing out on a $230,000 house 3 years ago that is now worth $350,000 and paying rent as high as the mortgage payment would have been. :argh::argh: :se:

Could have been worse, you could have bought in Florida 3 years ago and all the numbers would be going the other way, you paid 350 now worth 230 and you couldn't get half the payment with rent

The phrase "chrome don't get ya home"... Uh, what about the thousands of dollars worth of CHROME tools that have gotten me home NUMEROUS times when something went wrong?

and some people just like the way chrome looks. my Bronco has chrome bumpers, wheels, and exhaust tips. It gets me home all the time. knock on wood it has never left me somewhere else

So, being a DB Elite means NOT reading a post correctly, taking it WAY out of context, then personally ousting an individual that made a post you don't agree with??? Wow, truly "elite"...

I said nothing about driving like a jackass, because I'm guilty of that myself at times. I said that I get annoyed by young people (especially common in the under 18 bracket) that make it seem like such a great accomplishment that they are young and BOMBing out their diesel truck. The last time I checked, there is no age limit on being able to work on your rig. I've personally been wrenching on diesels since I was very young, and it was a major influence in becoming a mechanical engineer, but I feel no need to brag about it or make it part of some social status power play because it really proves nothing, hence I get annoyed when people put it as so. So, NO I was not being a hypocrite, and I'm sorry if you disagree with me, but there's no need to be an asshat about it...

Just my two cents...:w2:

97cummins 02-23-2010 04:24 AM

When i fuel up my truck at the beginning of the week. And when i drive by the same gas station the next day and see diesel is 5 or 10 cents cheaper.

K50 03-08-2010 08:50 AM

You know what grinds my gears? What's with all these idiots who think it's okay to drive with their fog lights on in the city??? :ph:

7.3stroker 03-15-2010 06:02 PM

You know what grinds my gears?

Everyday people screaming blow some smoke, burn the tires, or let me drive your truck! People not respecting their equipment. People actually trying to race you when your pulling a trailer. Seriously?

HAYMAFIA 03-15-2010 10:27 PM

I outran a 6.0 powerjoke pulling an empty 40' flatbed.:w2:

ms. smokin strokin 03-16-2010 10:23 AM

what grinds my gears is when these lil boyz hate because they have daddys money and jacked up their trucks and slamed on a programer and exhaust and hate on you cuz you actualy work for your stuff and wana race all the time.
also when boyz hate on girlz cuz they drive diesels. sorry honey my truck looks better than yours. when people feel the need to hate on your stuff cuz they jelious. when guys come to me saying since ima grl i need to be ina ricer not a diesel twice as big as theirs. AND when people say since your under 18 you cant drive to save your life. please i may have only been on the road for two years but i can tell you i drive with more sence than most of these idiots on the road these days. and people who brag about their stuff when its not "theirs" its their daddys....... yeah ok im done

DIRTYMAX2004 03-16-2010 10:50 AM

It is ok to drive with your fog lights on in the city. i do it all the time :w2:

5.9Bronco...eventually 03-16-2010 11:10 AM

The only reason I can see it being excepted is if the fog lights are the only lights low enough on a lifted truck to not blind people. Then I guess it is ok.

DIRTYMAX2004 03-16-2010 11:15 AM

i do it cuz it lights up the road better :tu:

handymanherb 03-16-2010 11:21 AM

Pisses me off when friends call me and tell me there A/C is only coming out the defrost on a Mustang, I tell them to check for a disconnected vacuum line and I figured they as least done that.

So when I do make it by he says look at it quick, so I go the the a/c on the firewall and see the vacuum line coming out trace it to the broken end, so in 10 minutes it's all working.

Now if it had been mine I'll had to pull the dash, the easy stuff never happens to me:argh::argh::argh:

Seriously guys??? Fog lights with low beams on is just a wall of light. Even on the highways when I do it, semi-trucks will flash their lights at me telling me to turn them off- whether I'm passing from behind or from head on. In the city there's no need for it. With all these new cars with their :edit: HID headlamps, why the hell would anyone feel the need to run MORE lights and turn on their fog lamps too? :s:

On second thought...next time some idiot in an import is driving with his fogs on I'm just going to run my hi-beams.

Shea@L&N Performance 03-16-2010 11:35 AM

You know what grinds my gears?

When I leave my truck in the driveway sitting for 3 days start it up go inside come back out a few minutes later and I got antifreeze all under my truck. Somehow it mysteriously got a crack in the plastic from sitting there. :argh:

About the only reason any trucks' head lights ever blinded anyone is because they were improperly aimed. This usually happens when some numb nut installs a levelling kit and calls it good. Fogs have nothing to do with it. If you raise the front more than the rear, you have turn down the headlights to get them aimed back down at the road.

Simple as that.

I can tell you why:

reason number 1:
Because it's sooo cool in their mind

reason number 2:
Soccer mum does not know that she turned on the fogs...

DIRTYMAX2004 03-16-2010 01:37 PM

I run the Sylvania SilverStar Ultra all the way around. They are bright as shit so i tend to get flash quite often and ppl tend to get pissed when i follow them. they are the best replacement bulb that i have found. and it is just a habit when i jump in the truck at night to turn the fog lights on because i live in the country and the extra light is nice when drivin on gravel. also if ppl piss me off in the city i hit them with the KC's lol

:offtopic:

Deezel Stink3r 03-16-2010 03:02 PM

It grinds my gears when those scooter kids are tailgating me in the city to use my slipstream.
Do they have any idea that the solid trailer hitch mount will kill them if I have to brake and they get under the truck?
I hate it when they pass me in the city in front of a stop light to be the first to get of the stoplight.
20 yards behind the lights you have those annoying scooters in front of you with a top speed of 35 miles. Of course "you" can't pass because of oncoming traffic...
And they stink like hell from 2-stroke oil.

But if you honk they always fall almost from their scooters, hehehe
