i spent 3 fun-filled months in detroit when i was about 10. thank god my parents had the sense to get us out of there!! i've never lived in a place like this. i was in a fight with somebody every single day. it was ridiculous and we were in one of the supposed "nice neighborhoods" with "good schools". i don't think that's possible in detroilet.
OMG It kept getting worst No roads Houses Burning NO Cops anywhere people walking right down the middle of the high way ..
I swear 1 mile road must be a bottom less pit into hell cause it just kept getting worst.
I got out I just kept driving i was either going in the lake and taking the new car and family with me or , Just the fact that i really just wanted to be anywhere but here ....
It Sucked . Never again

it's just amazing. that city has the ability to be absolutely beautiful but it's just completely overrun with thugs an useless people. i don't understand why it can't be cleaned it up. i know they're trying to renovate parts and maybe it'll get there but it seems it's going to hell faster than they can fix it. i have family there i haven't seen in years because i refuse to go back. i don't understand how they do it.

You know your city sucks when even the dead people are leaving.
Things are getting so bad that people are moving their deceased loved ones’ bodies out of the city into other cemeteries.
I have to wonder if the Big 3 Cause this?
Things are getting so bad that people are moving their deceased loved ones’ bodies out of the city into other cemeteries.
- It’s the only city in the history of the United States to hit a population of over 1,000,000 residents and then subsequently fall back under that number.
- The city has lost more than half of its population since the 1950’s.
- Over 30% of the city’s population lives below the poverty line.
- Over 36 square miles (58 square kilometers) of land sits vacant, which is roughly the size of the city of San Francisco.
- The city tears down between 1,500 and 2,000 homes a year, which only keeps pace with the problem and doesn’t cut into the backlog of the 12,000 abandoned homes.
