No way, cheap beer'll do the trick with some dads, it's always worth asking. In high school all it took for me was to know a little bit about a ZR1 vette, I drove him to town in his ZR1 so he could get more beer and he saw fit to let his daughter and I be. That was the first manual trans I'd driven...of course I told him otherwise previous to driving it when he asked if I could drive stick.

 

I have a daughter thats 8 going on 18 (she thinks) and umm the datin comin pretty fast Im already thinkin of what im gonna have to do to boys at that time to put the fear of god in them. My father in law when me and my wife were datin just sat there on the couch when i would go to pick her up he would just sit there on the couch no expression and not say a word for some reason scared the livin hell out of me. Once we were together awhile finaly relaxed and now we get along great no prob (He still dont like my brother in law tho )
