My dog stays at my parents house when I'm away at school, too many people around and no pets in student housing, but she atleast gets 120 acres with a 20 acre lake, eats inside I personaly think that it would be cruel to take her down there and lock her inside an appartment, but she still knows which truck to get in. I came home yesterday, didn't even know she was outside truck still running turned off the radio opened the door and she put her front paws in the truck and just looked at me, it makes the 200mi.(each way) on my truck to come home for 2 days worth it.

My (now 3 years old) puppy is with me usually 24/7. He is with me at home, on the floor right next to my chair, right now, sleeping next to my desk chair, or at work out in the shop either sleeping on an old rear seat out of a Ford or following one of us around the shop. My shop wouldn't be the same without my Queensland running around. But I didn't get him for a lawn ornament, he's my buddy and thats why he is always with me. My customers and employees have had to get used to it. There is nothing funnier to watch than my Queensland grabbing my tech's shoe while under a truck and pulling him out from under the truck because he wants to play!
You notice also, as you look, that those of us that love our pets, and spend the time with our pets, have phenomenal pets! My dog is not fixed and just turning 3 years old, and minds better than most any dog I have ever met. Partially its because I will whoop his butt if needed, but mostly I think that because the animal isn't starving for attention it doesn't feel the need to act out of desperation to gain attention.

I agree! I also find that dogs that are loved, understand their owner better. My Shih Tzu knows if I'm upset, and she will gently hop in my lap and lay there. If I'm hurt ( like I am) she doesn't get in my lap...she's not sure if she can. I want to take my dog everywhere, but I never go anywhere...unless its to walmart...or to go shopping, cant really take her. She LOVES to ride in the truck. Shih Tzus have extreme separation anixity. You can go outside for less than 5 minutes and when you open the door she goes bonkers as if she hadn't seen you all day. I love that about her though. Husband said if I'm gone , Kuniva will just lay around waiting on me to return. Most of the time if I'm gone...he will play with her most of the time to help ease her separation anixity. I'll just be glad when my foot is healed so I can play with her, without worrying she will pounce on my foot.

i got 3 dogs that are great. i envy you guys that get to take them with you all day. i cant take them with i only have a standerd cab for work, and i work around to many farms, they would get lost in a heart beat there. but they do stay at home, and we do have roomey(?) cages for them, inside. they actually spend most their time in them, even if we let the doors open. they kinda like it. kinda like its a bed room for them. they are set up nice and comfy with pilllows and toys. i don't see any problem with letting them in a comforable enviroment, as long as they are safe and healty.

My two dogs are never left outside. I wish I could bring them everywhere with me but my job wouldn't allow it. One of my guys has a dog that gets left outside all the time and only gets to go in at night if it's going to be below 20 degrees at night. I don't like him for it and my other guys give him hell for it constantly but it doesn't change.....it's too bad because his dog is a sweetheart

Not the hats or the beards....i think it's the smell and the dark clothes. We have done some tests with friends that dressed as amish and she was fine.
not just the dogs.....
