i bought a nice 52" DLP HDTV made by RCA last september for 1100 bucks (on clearance, 2200 normally) with no additional warranty (wont do that again). well this july the tv broke, and because i couldnt find the original freakin reciept they wouldnt do anything for me. so i figured it was the lamp and called them, 700 dollars for a new one! ridiculous. so i bought one on ebay for 120 shipped fixed it in 10 minutes and wa la. just shows though how bad these companies are with customer service these days though. pathetic when a 2 thousand dollar tv wont even last a year anymore. i still have a 25 year old tv that was my first ever hand me done. the electronics companys suck these days

 

My Lamp has lasted for 3yrs which really suprised the Technician. My Next TV will probably be a Plasma. They still look the best IMHO.
