I have a .40 high point carbine that I use to shoot squierls at the house! It never has jammed. the quality of the product leaves a little to be desired. But I think I gave $95 with a scope for it. (THROW AWAY GUN! LOL)

ya, i have the 9mm hi point pistol, it was the first pistol i bought after i turned 21, just cause it was 120 bucks, i wouldnt trust my life to it, but its a pistol you can throw in your rig or take out to work with ya and not worry about beatin it up. the pistols arent hard to find, i have been tryin to find one of the carbines but they are about harder to find than sasquatch, at least thats how it is around here. but ya, if you want a throw around dont care gun, its great, but if you want protection thats dependable, save some money and buy a 1911, i found a brand new para ordanance 1911 for 519 bucks, shoots great.

Thanks for all the input. Almost right after posting this, I found a colt 1911 that I would rather have for 350

86fordidi,
Try that Hi Point under some adverse conditions once and you will understand why you can't count on it.
