Man what a mess we got going on down here in Georgia, Six Flags is under Water and I 20 shut down, some thing like 37 bridges screwed up. Had to figure out how to get to grandma's house cause she was without power and water sewer plants dump waste into the Chattahoochie it was already dirty tho hahahaa.More rain on the way I think I will trade my Dodge for a jon boat.

 

dang that sux bro..... i am waiting on the water to start rising down here...... it'll take a few days.... we really need the water here in south GA..... keep your head up and keep doggy paddling.....

I really felt bad for you all up in Wisconsin and Iowa but you all showed America the stregth of the Heartland and took care of business. My hat,s off to ya'll.

 

yeh a lot of farmers including the one i worked for at the time took a huge blow... most of the fields were flooded all summer... no corn to harvest n sell... i lost my job cause of it.... it sucked but we did wut all americans do... we waited it out!! n now were doin pretty good this year! thanks man! hope its not as bad for u guys

One of our SAR team members who works for a local PD just outside Atlanta, has been doing rescues in the flooded areas for a few days.

He worked from 5 am until 3 am the following day between Douglas and Cobb County!

In one of the rescues in Douglas County, he had to go after a man, his wife and 20 month old baby after the were swept off a bridge and into the trees. Two firefighters trying to effect rescue, capsized and had to be picked up as well.
These firefighters risk thier lives daily for total strangers! My hats off to them

Everyone's safe, but he said the waters were estimated at approx. 35 mph and very turbulent!
Got swamped once (about 50 gallons into the hull but had the foresight when having the boat built, to have two (2) 2300 gph bilge pumps installed....these are AIRBOATS btw, not your average rubber white water boat

Got the boat back on dry ground for a bit to dewater it (only takes a few seconds) and back into the water!

Using the airboat, and with the help of the Fire Department, they were able to string line across the river, secure it, and form a safety line to get to the firefighters and auto victims.
From there, everyone was pulled to safety

He no more than gets out of the water when Cobb County calls and asks for assistance.

There he found huge flooding....but calm waters (thank God!-He said that last one was enough excitement for one tour!)

Not only is he one of our team members, but also a local SWAT guy.

He worked with our team in New Orleans after Katrina.

The last word we got was...more rain on the way
