i kinda figured something out last weekend, we got a couple dozen yards to take care of around here, and me and borther inlaw do it. he mows, and i wack. i found out, that it is much eaiser on the arms with our "cheapy" then with my heavy 4 cycle. all we cut is grass and small weeds with it. so what i am getting at, bigger might not be better for you. if you are knocking out some heavy sh*t with it, then its great, but just grass and some small edging, don't waist your money on a big heavy thing.

Why not start a poll based off the most popular votes??

I had a Stihl for over four years (used for business). It finally died in April. I made the mistake of buying a Home Depot "bargain". Don't do it. It's hard to start, only runs line that I could use to go fishing with and overheats very quickly. If it gets through the season, I'll likely get another Stihl for next spring. :U:

Used both Shindaiwa and Echo's commercially and they both last forever. When it came time to purchase my own I went with the Echo because of cost. Like everyone else said go with a straight shaft, they are more practical and will outlast any curved unit.
