Polaris for my quads (400 and 800).
KTM for dirtbike. Currently have a Honda XR-250, but am lusting after a KTM 450 with the "magic button"

I have a Polaris Sportsman, but I'd like to add a Kawasaki to the fleet before hunting season. Kawasaki, mainly because of the local dealer.

For a purely race bike give me a Honda 450, but for my trail riding I absolutely love my Suzuki DRZ400 with a few mods

The thing to keep in mind with the race bikes is they have a very short life span compared to more relaxed bikes (such as the DRZ400) and some even have service intervals of as low as 10 hours between valve adjustments/oil change etc.

The Honda 450R even goes so far as to reduce oil capacity to a mere .7 qts to save weight (I could be off, my memory comes and goes)

If I need 4 wheels I prefer it to have a Cummins

I have a KTM 525SX, but for a Quad, I vote for the Can Am Bombardier 800. That thing is a BEAST!

yamaha, my 660 grizzly is unstoppable with 27" mudlites

out of all the mudholes i've been in (some up to 4' deep) i've only been winched out once. stupid maryland clay, it wasnt even 18" deep but that clay was so sticky i even lost my boots in it.

i have 2500 miles on it, rode hard, put away wet, and the only thing that has let me down were 2 wheel bearings. probably from the nasty mud getting in them and the strain added on them by riding on alot of rough rocky terrain with 4 wheel independent suspension. i cant complain, and the dealer knows us by name when we stop in to check out new models or pick up filters/oil
