I'm trying to get Skype on my computer. I go to the website and it downloads it, but once it says it's been downloaded, I can't find it anywhere on my computer. I'm using firefox, and skype's instructions say it will be in the download window, the trouble is as soon as it downloads that window goes blank.

Can anyone help me out here, I'm a little slow.

I'm no computer man but I always just go to the search area when this happens and it finds it for me. Click on start, then search files and folders.

 

Hmmm. Tried that and it didn't find it. What am I doing wrong here?

 

if your typing Skype into that search box and searching the whole computer I'm at a loss.

 

I'm usually lost with this kind of stuff, and my computer guy can't get here until Monday so I've been trying to figure it out since it's slow this afternoon.

Good point, I went to my firefox tools, clicked options and found that it saved all my downloads to a folder called "searches". From there I found this folder and low and behold I had six downloads of skype waiting for me to install. I don't get why searching all folders didn't bring it up though?
