CC weapons thoughts
I have a cz75bd 9mm but it is a bit hard to conceal. So I'm looking for a smaller handgun. A pawn shop in town has a Rossi 38spl 2" barrel w/round butt never fire brand new but has old grips on it. The owner sold the grips off it and said he couldn't get grips from Rossi so he's had it for 2 years(bought it brand new) and just put some old cracked wood grips on it. He wants $250 for it, I'm sure I can talk him down. Then J&G sales has 9x18's for $150. And my other option would be the Glock30 or 36 in 45acp or Glock39 in 45gap. I have never been around polymer or subcompacts so what are your take on these pistols and what would/do yall carry?

Is this intended for pocket carry?
Describe your dress style (no jokes, he's got a gun)
How you're carrying it, where you're carrying it, and how you dress are all important.

For summertime carry, I love my little Bersa Thunder .380. It is an awesome little D/A auto weighing in at 23ozs. It's deadly accurate and drop-dead dependable. Best part is, they can be bought brand new for around $200.00. Granted, the .380 is pretty much the minimal caliber for personal defense. But it's a darn sight better than throwing rocks, especially when stoked with Federal Hydra-Shocks or Speer Gold Dots. They also offer a hi-cap model and a CC model with rounded edges and bobbed hammer.Welcome to Eagle Imports Inc.
If you are packing during the winter, or want more bang, Bersa also offers their Thunder 9 and Thunder .45 Ultra Compact models. (I have the .45 and love it!) They are only about a 1/2 inch bigger in all dimentions than the little .380 and weigh 27ozs but you get 9+1 rounds of 9mm and 7+1 rounds of .45. They are a little thick in the grip, but it makes 'em really comfortable to shoot. They can be picked up for around $350.00 - $375.00 new.

I also carry this gun summer and winter, and have for almost ten years. Before that I carried a Beretta 92, it was just to big and heavy for CC. Just bought he wife a Taurus PT 111 9mm for CC, its a nice little gun and also comes in .40 and .45. I like carrying the same gun year around make me just that much more familiar with it.
