Default Slim Jim a 96 hyundai

Does anyone know if I can pop the door with a regular slim jim and know where to aim with it? I locked the key in my car at walmart down the street and I'd rather not walk up to it with the full lockout kit that goes through the top of the door in the parking lot with the "security" driving around. The only key I have for it is in the ignition.

If you have never done it dont try. You have a good chance of tearing something up. Call your local police dept (non emergency number of corse) and see if they will do it (some do some dont). You can always try and seperat teh door at the top and get a coat hanger in there to activate the locks.

no power locks or windows. I've done it before, but not on this car. I'd do the passenger side so if I pop the linkage out I'm not totally screwed. I have a real lockout kit with the little air pump and everything to go through the top, just rather not make a scene.

effin A. couldn't find my real lockout kit, and realized that it won't help me anyway since the door doesn't unlock itself when you pull the handle, and I don't think I can lasso the thing.
So, call the parts house about half a mile down the street (since I can't find my slim jim either) and he tells me they have one for $11.99. Ride my bike down there, (its 108*) and THEY ARE OUT OF STOCK.
It just gets worse. my roommate's phone got shut off sometime in the last 6 hours so i can't tell him to pick one up on his way home.
SOOOO
either I find another parts house that's open till 10 when he gets back or use trip A

I tow on the side... We do Triple A calls... We use plastic wedges and a long rod. Ive done everything from grabbing the door lock to fishing the keys out of some girls purse... The way the locks were on the car there was NO WAY it was gonna open!

yeah. well I can't find my lockout kit with the pump and the bendy rod. This POS korean car has the old school lock on the top of the door, I doubt its got any provisions in the door to stop me with a slimjim.
I have AAA. looks like I'll be giving them a call. I just hate to use it. I save it for when the truck breaks down since it always requires being towed (everything else I have parts for with me ) and it takes the big *** tilt flatbed.

looks like i'll be coathanger-ing the bitch to death tonight
