How many hours a week do you work?
Fellow bombers,
Just wondering what kind of hours everyone works around here. Where I live it's not uncommon for people to work 80hr weeks. I think that's ludicrous and I refuse to give in to the money-god doctrine that seems to be so common these days. I'm just wondering if everyone else works 60hr weeks or if it's expected or how common it is. I love 40hr work weeks, and my personal belief has always been "I work to live, I do not live to work". Ultimately we all do what we have to do in the end though.

Holy CRAP.
Yeah, seasonal work like that isn't so bad, only working half the year makes up for it. But 60-80hrs a week year round would probably do me in, unless I REALLY liked my job. Thing is I don't think I'd be able to find a job that I love as much as the stuff that I do in my free time.
Like Stkdram55 said, not really any OT going around here for me either, I'm just glad to have a job, but I'm fine with <50hr weeks, it's nice having more free time, especially in summer. I currently spend 15hrs a week outside of work training for races, so I kind of need that extra free time.
