Doc Marten Boots??
#22
I only wear Doc Marten boots now. I work in construction so they get used and abused all the time. My current pair I have had for almost a year and they are still holding strong. They work great on concrete or on dirt. I actually can not wear regular shoes anymore for more than a few hours without my feet and back hurting, but with the Docs I hardly have a problem. I know that Scottsjeeprolet wears Docs also and he swears by them, hopefully he will see this thread.

I had real bad luck with Docs. I went through three pairs in about a year and a half; I had the first pair for under a month when I split the soles in both using a shovel, then those got traded in for another pair that I babied for a few months until all the little nicks and scratches from being drug on concrete caused the leather to just fall apart, and then for some reason I bought another pair that also fell apart in under a year.
Leather's too soft, soles like to split, insides fall apart, the soft fabric around the top shreds, and the finger loops break. And I wasn't working in an oil field or anything, I was a 5'8" 180 pound high school/ college student when I had them.
The Georgia Boots I had after that lasted about 10 months, but they took 2 months of blisters and bloody socks to get broken in, so I'm not going to go back to them anytime soon. After those I got some Redwings, which have lasted almost a year, broke in after a couple weeks and seem to have half their lives ahead of them.
