Have to hit one of the front quarters, like in front of the tires to get the air bags deployed. No sensors in the middle of the truck.
I was under the impression there are no sensors out in the fenders, just an inertia switch under the seat? |
That would actually be the smartest thing to do :D "Gosh officer, heck no I wasn't drinking at the time. But, I was so shock up after the accident I had to drink this whole bottle of Black Berry Brandy to calm my nerves." :D

Wonder if he stopped at the Wal-Mart for a fresh pair of undies. :w2:

Hmm. Kinda reminds me of the time in my 'ol 7.3ps I turned a fishtail into a 180' and ran over a culvert... Had a reflector stuck to my rear bumper when I got home. :w2:

the air bag system is triggered off acceleration/deceleration sensors. it takes a pretty good impact to trigger the system though. it looks like alot of damage but it probably didnt jarr the truck too much beacuse that pole is a pretty small diameter. basically the air bag system has a see a specific amount is g-force to trigger. its hard to tell by the photos but the bags may have deployed, or atlest the drivers did and the pass may have been turned off too.
