Default The ND/MN Flood Of 2009 Pics.

I know you all have seen the stories on the national news about the flooding in Fargo and sourrounding areas, so I thought I would post up some pics of what it has looked like just at my house for the past week and a half. We had some drifts that were 8 and 9 ft. high. I live just east of Fargo.

These pics are from a week after the last blizzard that we got. It suddenly got up to 40 and everything melted quickly while the ground was still frozen. Dates are stamped on the pictures.

I was standing in the middle of the driveway when I took this one. That tree line that you see in the background is actually a mile and a half away.

The road in front of the house washed out.

Mikey's school bus got stuck in the middle of the next road up and had to be pulled out by an 8 wheeled New Holland. Thought he was going to have to pull me out too because I sunk my truck up to the nerfbars, but she came out on her own with a little effort.

This bridge and dairy farm are not even an 1/8th of a mile down the road from us. Matter of fact one of our members Johny Jerger lives there. Mikey goes down there to hang out with them sometimes.

Later in the day, this section of road and their driveway were under water also.

Yeah, we got a bunch of freezing rain last night that left a nice thick layer and then it changed to snow and the temp is 23 right now. We're supposed to get 8 inches from what the weather man said.

Check out this rescue. I didn't know that airboats would run on snow. This is from outside of Fargo.

Air boats rock and will run on damn near anything but asphalt.

You guys take care up there, Mikey.
