Gay normal people don't bother me, it's the ones that want to throw it in everyones face that **** me off. I know alot of gay people and 99 percent act just like anyone else. I say let them serve but they shouldn't flaunt the sex preference.

 

IF they are able and willing to do the same work as heterosexual people then I have no problem with them serving our country. No special treatment, special circumstances, etc should be allowed. If they can't perform then they should get the axe just like any other person would.

As said above, they enjoy the same rights that I do so they should get to fight for them.

Well just to play devils advocate........they don't exactly have the same right to marriage that we do. Just a point, don't jump all over me now. But if you're going to make the point that they should because they enjoy the same rights we do, remember there are some exclusions.(I side on them not being able to marry, just stating a fact) I vote they all fall off the face of the earth (but that probably won't happen)

 

If which I should say if cause it looks that the admininstration is going to change this around. I think there should be a strict code of conduct no flaming. No Rainbow Flags on Ultilities or anything. Nothing special for them cause they think that they are special. Thank God Im out. If my Grandpa was still alive he would be beating every single one of them over the head. OOOH Crap I canonly imagine the day my Grandpa if he had a Queer come in for Recruitent.

What's it like now vs what they want to change it to?

 

Everybody that's ever been through the military always knew there was gays around. BUT, they had to hide it so nobody cared. The day they don't have to hide it is the day I would have a problem living in the same communal barracks. As far as I'm concerned if gay men or women are able to openly live with the the same sex they are attracted to we either need four separate barracks, gay men, gay women, straight men and straight women. If not then we all need to be housed in the same living quarters, men and women alike. If they are a man and like other men then I think to be fair they should have housed me in a building full of women. On second thought maybe I ain't so crazy about that idea.

I like the don't ask don't tell method. Let em in but don't let em go public. I'm good with that.
