How good are the Weaver Scopes???

I've been thinking about getting the WE800704 2.5-10x50 one for a SPR I'm having built. Figure the max range of the SPR will be around 600 meters.

I have had two of the 4.5-14x44 Grand Slams, and have been happy with those over the years. Very happy with the clarity of the scopes, shooting from 100 to 600 yrds on a regular basis. I will be moving those over to my sons guns as they are built out. I switched on on of my rifles to a Zeiss 4.5-14x44 so that I could use my TBC for my 7mm on. There diffenitly is a difference, but you get what you are paying for. I never had any problems yet with the weaver and have shot both of them over large calibers with thousands of rounds.
