A battery will do that, esspecially if it was warm, than a cold front came through and chilled it down quickly.

Any word on this? Just wondering if it started hooking to just the battery cables:pca1:
:humm: Maybe he isn't up yet:w2: |

Can't find my Ohm meter right now so I'll throw a new cable from the battery to the starter and give that a shot in the mornin. Checked the grounds and cleaned them off, they all looked good to begin with though. Spent today pullin the new starter off and puttin the old one back on. If that wasn't the problem I'm gettin my money back on it. |

I bet ya got a bad ground in there somewhere
And Whitmore takes the cookie on this one. Turns out the ground was bad. The cable was frayed and corroded inside the sheath. Threw a new cable on it and found a better grounding spot and it fired right up. Thanks all. |

Thanks all. I bet he's had his share of cookies:w2: |
Back to the drawin board here. It's been runnin great and last night I shut it of to run in the house, 5 minutes later it was dead to the bone.
The meter tells me that the battery is holdin 11.5 in it and I have checked continuity from the battery, alternator, starter and fuse panel and battery ground and it all checks out that it's passin 11.5 through it. I changed the 60amp fuse, new starter, new battery, new cables and had the Alternator checked to day and all is good there. When I turn the key there is nothin. No door chime, no lights and not even the solenoid click. Now the trick, most of time this stuff holds true. Every once in a while I turn the key and the door chimes go, and the starter will click for a few seconds but then it all drains and goes dead within seconds. But the battery is still charged. This is aggravating. I like these little trucks cause they are so cheap and simple but this is kickin my tail. |
