Information G.M. Raises Loan Request by $12 Billion
G.M. told the government that it needed to increase its loan request to $30 billion, $12 billion more than it had initially sought, in order to avoid bankruptcy.

GM deserves bankruptcy, but at the same time, that's not what I want to happen.
