Default gasser rebuild 5.2?

I have a 5.2L durango 1998. 123K miles. How much would a rebuild be. Right now It leaks Anti-freeze and just needs a basic rebuild. My wife wasw looking at new cars but has made her mind up that she really loves her little truck as she calls it.

Or would I be better off finding a junk yard 5.9L gas rebuilding that and throwing that in? What would be involved in that.

I'm not worried about power! I just want reliability and some MPG. As long as it starts and gets her and I from Point A to Point B and the dead animal home its a good little truck LOL
