Anyone Do it? Im building my collection for my wood shop , I have a Delta Band Saw and a Delta Table Saw next is router and table ..

I want to do some Coopering and make some Barrels , about 8" tall for crafts , i have bought a book about how to do coopering and its not going to be easy ! i need a kiln and a bath tub too .... In DUE TIME !!

i bought the 12'' does everything except slides. i wish i spent the extra for a slider though

 

For got to mention i have a Craftsman Laser Chop Saw Too but dad always have it

 

i just bought a craftsmen level that reads how many degrees the angle is.
comes in handy building houses. helped het the trim alot tighter.

I can't wait until I have the time and space to get back into woodworking. I have a 12" Jet tablesaw with the 54" saw fence. Jet 12" bandsaw. Jet 6 Jointer. Grizzly 1.5 hp shaper with a bunch of bits. A broken Dewalt 12.5" surface planer. a BUNCH of clamps. Kreg jigs. Spray Tech Revolution airless sprayer for lacquer. Porter cable router. One of these PUR gun And a bunch of other stuff.
I had a shop a couple of years ago, but the guy was already raping me on the rent and decide he wanted another $150 per month. At least I got a couple of kitchens and a bunch of other stuff built while I was in there. I really miss it. The only time that I am really relaxed.

 

There are def. lotsa tools on my wish list, but it would kill for a wood and metal lathe! Back in H.S. shop I spent alot of time on both... Hard to explain why I liked it so much but it was the machine that I thought gave me the most freedom to just do whatever my mind thought up. Plus it was just so mechanical, just you the tool and the machine. Your imagination was your only limitation.

i have seen older metal lathes go for just a few hundred.

that grenade is cool! ever watch new yankee workshop? that guy builds some nice stuff

there is also that other guy i think it's a old show PBS just show re-runs. the guy uses mostly hand tools no eletric tools.

 

I use to do a lot my dad has a cabinet shop. After growing up work with him in his shop I just can bring myself to try and set something up in my little garage. I almost got a table saw and router to build some cabinet for the garage. After some though I realized what a pain it would be and how much room it would take up. He can build them and being them to me. Its also a good excuse to get him to take a vacation. I still build some easy and small stuff sub boxes ECT that I can do with my cordless tools.
