Airing Up On vs. Off Truck
Came outside this morning to find I had a flat on the CTD, getting new tires with the tax return so I didn't want to buy a new one, took it off and plugged it. and threw it into the other truck to go fill it up. This led to a discussion with my neighbor about filling a tire while its on the vehicle vs. not on the vehicle. He says that if you fill it up to the correct pressure with it not on the truck, then when you put it on the weight of the truck will cause the press. in the tire to be to high... I say that the press. inside the tire may change but not enough to make any sort of difference. So who's right? Should you fill a tire with it on the truck or does it not matter?

He said you should put enough air in it to drive to the gas station and then fill it the rest of the way...
