Not a dealer option, its a factory option... Don't think they would make this package available for the truck if it couldn't take it since parts will be warrantied. But any who whatever its personal preference if you want/need a plow on your truck which I do, next year I'm hoping. Wear and tear might be increased but that totally up to the operator and how the truck is treated. Also the pull plow by itself won't be very effective by itself, it's designed to be used with a front plow as well. The blade I want is the Western Wide-out that starts as a 8' and expands to a 10' then goes into a scoop style thats 9'5". The video shows the trip feature as well to ease the stress on the truck as well.

BTW This will not and is not my first experience with plows, all of the trucks I have run for my old company when I was in high school have faired just fine and were by no means show queens or new in any way...

Blizzard came up with that wing setup a couple years ago. Personally id stick with a boss v for the money.

plowsite.com a lot of guys are running the back blade.

Yup, I hang out a PS.com as well... Boss v's are nice but I really don't have a use for it in the V position that I can think of since I'm not making paths through deep snow. So I find it as kinda a waste that why I like the wideout 3 blades in one. You have the 8' straight blade, 9' scoop and 10' straight blade, very versatile IMO! Yes Blizzard was first but I like the design of the Western better plus I think the hydrolic set-up is better and has a better mounting system to go along with better lights too. Plus Western own Blizzard now neways... Still comes down to personal preference still though

I like the V, but I didn't really need it. I was going to get the Hiniker C-Plow, but they were back ordered. I ended up with the Sno-way 29T and love it.

I've seen a few guys with the Snowman plow. I'd think they are great for one shot driveways or the homeowner that doesn't want to buy a plow for the front of their SUV. IHMO.

However, I can't see buying one, I'd drop the extra cash on the Hiniker C-plow. I believe that would be my next plow.
