Best part about all this is....They guy owns a Diesel Shop! His youtube channel has a video of his buddy getting arrested after smoking out a cop!
After being bashed for 100 and some odd posts, they still wouldnt get it! He even had all his dronies come on and try and say it was 'Funny" and "Harmless"

I think there is a time and a place for smoke. I smoke people out who deserve it but i try not to give too much of a puff to the undeserving. I have however been known just to blow smoke for the fun of it. If our sport is to grow i think we need to figure out how to get smoke under control or the Government will. I think education on why smoke is bad is a key but I myself have no idea how to go about it.

The education has been tried. The problem is that you always have the influx of newbies and the only reason they bought a diesel is because the smoke was cool. You can't change their minds. And right now these trucks used are goin cheap enough that we have a mass amount of newbies hittin the scene.
Not that I'm against new blood at all but at some point we need to change the reasoning for them coming on board from being about all the cool smoke and more about the potential of these trucks when they don't smoke.

the only time id like to see smoke out of mine is when i want it to. do i smoke people out yes. i blew as much smoke as mine can on xzaq tonight, in his truck. which aint a whole lot right now. what the thread was started on, thats stupid as hell. how the hell would they know if it was say, the mayor of the town. the mayor could pass the law that it would be a big *** fine in the town for doing it. then what. then u couldnt even do it around your buddys, to see how much ya can blow on them. me, it wouldnt have bothered to be smoked out standing there. i love the smell of it. but to others, especialy the ones driving prius'es and the rest of those kinds of people it is outragous to them.

I surely don't smoke.... I really don't try too. I really love my trucks and my gas burner was not cutting the mustard. For those that do, "time and place for it" sounds like a good idea. Shaking the tail feathers in their faces (epa, feds, cops) your bound to get kicked in the butt sooner or later.

Ref: to the ricers....
They became involved with a local cruise scene here. Most were younger, like to do burnouts and other antics that caused more eyes on scene by the local cops. More they did, the more the cops showed up. Subsequently the meeting location was shutdown and hot rods were forced to move on.
Little off topic I know, but point is unwanted attention of a few jokes with bad timing/location generally causes more damage than the greater numbers want. Needless to say when the hot rods moved on, the tuners were not invited. It's a shame really, there are some really talented folks among them too. Not my cup of tea, but I admire the workmanship some of them put into their cars.
Peace
