HI MotorOilMcCall, I've sold some guns before, BUT I don't like to, I get to attached to all 70+ guns I have !!! And the rare day I sell one, it's to buy another one, The sacafice I have to do by being married !!! Once you get a gun, that it's cocked-n-lock, it is safe, incase it falls in the wrong hands [most thugs don't know how to take off the safety] You can operate the gun with just one hand, flick the safety off and your ready to fire !!! That leaves your other hand free to, drive, use the phone, grab, push away, poke him in the eye, if you hurt one hand you can still use your gun !!! one more thing, make sure your fighting gun, has a FRAME MOUNTED SAFETY, the guns that have a slide mounted safety, will slow you down, those safety are small, and you need two hands.

This little pistol (below) has become my favorite auto in the safe. It's a Bersa Thunder UC-45 in .45ACP. I have fired near 1000 rds through it with only ONE failure to feed and 0 failures to extract. The FTF was on about the 10th mag of some steel-cased Wolf stuff. Anyone who has used this ammo knows it is dirty and can gum your gun up fairly quick. It works great in my SAR-1 (commie rifle) but is just too cruddy to use in arms with tighter tolerances. The FTF was rectified by simply giving the slide a push with the thumb of my support hand.
The critter ain't much bigger than a Walther PPK .380 (think James Bond) points true to aim at 10yds and loves Federal Hydra-Shoks, my defense load of choice. It's a little thick around the grip, which suits me fine as I have big hands and is surprisingly easy to control for all the bigger it is.

I also have a Bersa Thunder 380. It's basically a Walther PPK clone and it too has been trouble free. Little critter would make an excellent summer clothed carry or back-up gun.
There are a few Bersa forums around. Check out :: Bersa Talk ::
if you'd like more info.
Sorry for hijacking the thread guys.

No problem gunman. The .45's can be very hard to find. I bought mine brand new in 2006 for $365.99. Took near 2 years for my local gun shop to get one. The ones made before early 2005 had some FTF and FTE problems, but that was rectified with stouter recoil springs. The pistol can also be had in .40 S&W and 9mm, both with double-stack mags. The 9mm version is the state-issued carry pistol of the Argentina police (where they are made). All Bersa pistols have a lifetime warranty.
