Anybody here ever try eharmony? I met a girl I really like and we've been talking on the phone just about every night for a few hours. I'm not sure how you go from that to flying to meet each other, curious if anybody here has done it before?

I know all this computer and dating service stuff is all the rage right now but I still can't see it. I'm old and crotchety when you meet me in person but in pictures I look like a young hunk of a stud. And if I can be that different then my picture I don't wanna know what them women are hidin.:w2:

I wish ya luck with this. Seems like some pretty slim odds but I know times are tough in the dating scene.

Yeah try coming to small town Wyoming. I'm 28 and own my own successful business, like a magnet for every white trash divorcee around. She's a good 2000 miles away, got a current photo,and sent her a few current ones of me. We seem to be hitting it off, but I'm a little nervous about shelling out a bunch of cash to fly somewhere for a weekend and have it totally suck.

where does she live, maybe one of the members here live closer and can spy on her for ya :ok1::w2:

At 2000 miles away what are you gonna do even if you do hit it off. Your not gonna get married after the first date and that's an expensive 2nd date. Not tryin to be a downer here but it sounds like a no win scenario to me no matter how good she is.

i can understand the no pics, deal. but like stated before, it is a risky deal meeting people offline. im 6'6" online. but 5'5"in person.

I know I have to be careful. I'm way to trusting as it is, let alone with a cute girl. I have to give the internet a shot anyways though, cause man there ain't much around here that's for sure.

There's really no chance of finding "the one" around here. There's not a bunch of single girls my age running around, we're talking like less than 20 at the most, and guess what they're like:booo:. I have to try something else even if it kills me.

I understand and sympathize with your problems but there's gotta be somebody closer then all the way at the other end of the country. I know even out your way there is still some big city womenz around someplace just waitin for a guy in a big diesel truck to come pick em up.

Don't want a woman that's into me for my truck, I can get gold diggers any day. I'd rather have a girl that that doesn't want anything to do with my trucks. I even hide my new Dodge when I'm on the prowl.

Headed to Vegas soon, she said she'd never been there so I told her to fly out. Also I'm headed to Mexico in a few months, she was asking who I was going with, I told her my brother at the moment but that could change if it needed to. We'll see where it goes:pca1:

I'm going to Vegas regardless for a class. She's from a big city but has a bunch of horses and kind of wants out of the rat race. I don't know where I'd put 8 horses, but I do have a few trucks to move em around with:ok1:

You can talk for 15,000 hours. That will all go out the window if you don't match on the first date. I say meet them fast! That way you don't have 15,000 hours wasted.

Looks like $600 to fly out to see her before Vegas, she's never been to Vegas so I don't know if it's the best place to meet for the first time. Not sure what to do, but kind of thinking like Marine said, meet her fast so I don't waste a bunch of time over nothing if there's no magic there. A year ago I would have slapped any of my friends talking like this, but for some reason it makes sense to me right now.

Do whatever you like to do. In this case you may as well know real quick if it's gonna work or not. No reason to put on a fake show with this one.
