Being as you're looking for a sport quad and if you don't plan on racing look at the Yamaha Raptor (ow... that hurt to say somethin' nice about a Yammy). Correct if I'm wrong but aren't there 3 Outlaw models... 500, 525, IRS.

RIDE RED!!!

I am definately a Yamaha man my self.. Ive never had any good luck with any Polaris machines. The Yam. Raptor 700 efi is a crazy fast machine. FMF Power Bomb pipe and a ECM flash and you are gonna be spankin everyone you ride around. Yamaha makes several atv's that are GOOD sport ATV's, Raptor 250, 660, 700, YZ450F is another one.

On another note, the only ATV I would personally own other than a Yamaha, is an Arctic Cat. AC makes a 300DVX now for 2009,but Im sure you can find a good price on a used 400DVX..

OR.. if you want Speed, RAW POWER, and 4x4.. you can look at the Arctic Cat THUNDERCAT. 1000cc 4x4 that will outrun MOST sport quads. Yea, I said that right.. OUTRUN most sport quads. A very good friend of mine owns the local Yamaha/Arctic Cat Dealership and we go riding alot when Im home. Well he brought out a Dealer Demo Thundercat one weekend, and lemme tell you what... THAT is ALOT of ATV. More Ground clearance than any other 4x4 on the market, STOCK.. and when u mash the gas, its either gonna stand up on the back legs or roast the tires. We raced on a stretch of pavement, and the Thundercat outran a stock 700 Raptor, and was right about a length behind the 450.. its WICKED.

yeah i think there is 3 different models, the raptor is a good bike but its kinda tall for riding trails, if ya want 450 and reverse you could go with the Kawasaki there expensive as all get out there nice 4 wheelers though. My friend had one and he liked it so just another thing to think about

Yamaha between the 2. I always see Polaris machines being pulled back to the truck with straps.

I am partial to the Can-Am's. i own an 800 and a 400. The suspension is better engineered and the power from the Rotax engines size to size are better.

You prolly dont want something that big but thats my recommendation. Also I would look at Artic Cat they have some good wheelers, but yeah if you have narrowed it down to Polaris and Yamaha I would definalty take a Yamaha they are good wheelers for what you are gonna use it for.
HI E2, I asked around about CAN-AM, was told it was powerful, excellent suspention, BUT VERY EXPENSIVE !!!!!

They may be a little more, but they also have a 3 yr warranty.

The thing is, is you cant ride it out of the box you have to jet it and tune it so it runs right where you live. I have a Can Am Outlander 800 XT and its alot lighter than my Yamaha was by far and has three times the power. I think its all a matter of personal preference and whats worked well for you in the past.

well guys turns out the 450 yamaha doesn't have a reverse. SO I'll see about a 2009 700R which does have a reverse. Heard anything good about them? Or bad?
