I was awake until 5:30 to watch the coverage of Houston, then woke back up at 8:00 to see what it was going to do here. We got about 2" of rain in about an hour but that was it.

We have not got any calls, I refuse to work with insurance companies so they call other companies in times like these.

My buddy owns a restoration company that works with insurance and he is slammed right now, he did ask us to help but I am not going to send any trucks out.

Well, My Buddy (The Guy I Race With) Is Absolutely Slammed Now. He Owns Cleanmaster's - Fire & Flood Restoration. Reported OVER 9" So Far Here.

Lets Just Say I Have Yet To Flood Since I Have Owned This Home.. But Judging By The Creek's Water Level Behind My House... I Am Gettin' Scurred. Already Reached The 100 Year Mark...

So, The New Rain Totals Just Aired. 9" So Far In Rain Over The Past 36 Hrs.. The Creek Behind My House Is Already Hit The 100 Year Mark.

I Decided To Take RedRam For A Drive To The Other Side Of Town To Pick Up Food.

Driving Down A Main Road Doin' 40MPH... Rains Pretty Thick, But Not Bad Enough To Stop. I Look Over Into The Oncoming Lane And See A Car With It Hazards On In The Pouring Rain. "Thats Odd, And That Sucks For Them"

As I Get Closer To The Car I Realize The Car Is In About 2 Ft. Of Water, Stalled. No Soon Do I Realize That

WHAM!!!!!

Thought I Hit A Brick Wall

Before I Could React Smacked My Nose On The Steering Wheel (Thankfully Has My Belt On). Water Over The Top Of My Truck - Thankfully Not In My Truck. Thats When I Realized..

I Hit That 2ft Of Water Doin' 40MPH The Whole Roadway Was Flooded - No Cones, No Signs, No Emergency Vehicles.. Just A Road Full Of Water, And Of Course Its Around A 90* Bend In the Road, So It's Almost Unpredictable.

Made It Through The Road River And Hopped Out To Assess The Damages - Sure As ****. Cracked The Bottom Lip Of Red Rams Front Bumper & Took Out A Fog Lamp. MOTHER F'ER!!!! I Was So Pissed I Almost Drove To The Police Station To Tear Them A New One.

Grabbed My Food And Went To Head Back The Same Way To See If The Water Claimed Anymore Victims.. What Do You Know, Johnny Law Blockin' The Roadway.. A Little To Late! Two More People Stuck. I Would Have Helped But With The Turn Where It Was They Wouldn't Be Able To See The Water or My Truck Until They Were 50 Yards Away From me, Sorry Don't Feel Like Being Responsible For That Mistake.

Haven't Fully Assessed The Damages, Not Going To Until The Rain Stops - Can't Believe My Airbags Didn't Go Off, Thankfully!

Pissed Off!
