So, what do ya use to clean & lube your smokepoles with???

 

What ever universal kit is on sale at Walmart.

 

i use the same old hoppes stuff i been using forever. and a can of remlube to keep things moving. hasn't let me down in any weather yet.

 

Best combination I've found yet: Hoppes Elite and Remington RemOil.

Dont have a smokepole yet but on everything else its good old Hoppes #9 and either Remoil or Mil grade Breakfree w/teflon

 

If by smokepole you mean BP then I clean it the way they are supposed to be cleaned. Patched Jag & hot soapy water until the water pumps out clean.

My other stuff I clean with butch's bore shine, works great and gets all the copper/lead fouling out.

When I was saying smokepole it was in the generic firearms usage, as in any handgun or rifle & not just black powder.

 

OH, I've spent too much time around BP stuff Anyway, I answered the cleaning part above, for oil I use Remoil for my centerfire stuff and T/C wonderlube for the BP stuff.

I use miltech oil , IMO you can't beat it.
