Well lemme give ya'll a lil rundown on the back story here..

It was a normal afternoon yesterday, I went to the school house there in Poteau, to pick the boys up from school since I was home. All 3 boys Waylen -9 yrs old, Wesley 8 yrs old and William 6 yrs old, were sitting in the back seat of my truck, being normal kids.. everything was dandy.

Then the Wesley decides to start messin with Williams ballcap, and my boys are country boys, like me, if you touch my hat or my truck, you will die.

Wesley turns Williams hat sideways and starts calling him a "democrat", this very much offends my youngest son.. and the fist fight begins. Both of the boys were throwing punches, and headlocks, for about the last 6 miles getting home. I didnt stop them, figureing one would give up and they would stop, they are brothers, they are supposed to fight right?

Well we get home, and its not over.. William wants Wesley to promise to not mes with his hat anymore, and Wesley refuses to comprimise, since hes the bigger of the two, he knows he can out fight his lil brother.

About 15 seconds after putting the truck in park, Im ready to stop the fight. But before I can, Wiliam bails out of the truck, runs up to the garage, and grabs his Aluminum Ball bat, figuring since hes not big enough yet to whoop Wesley, he will do what hes gotta do. Wesley decides that William has lost his marbles, and is completely nuts, and jumps in the back of my truck. KNOWING that William wont hit him in there, cause its Dads truck. So it winds up in a standoff.. with a 6 yr old and his trusty ball bat, DEMANDING an apology and a promise that Wesley will NEVER mess with his hat again..

Mind you the whole time, My oldeset son, Waylen, is trying to announce the fight like its on pay per view.. I found the entire thing quite amusing. And the great thing, They settled it themselves. Wesley promised not to ever mess with Williams hat again, and apologized. And I made the boys shake hands and apologize. They both came out of the deal with no black eyes, but the Wesley did get a busted lips from a stiff jab that William perfectly aimed at his upper lip.. lmao

Just thought I would share the amusing story about my kids, and this picture I took during the negotiations..

Yup, when its brothers...sometimes you just gotta let them fight it out. My younger brother and I used to fight like enemies and dad would let us do it for awhile and then put a stop to it.

Dude, that is priceless. I tell my wife all the time to let my two step son's duke it out sometimes. I tell her sometimes you just gotta let the bully of the two get whooped on by the quite one once in a while...keeps him in check.

 

Thats just what happens here at the Bunn household.....there is never a dull moment!!!!
