With regular gas in New York City at $4.40 a gallon, station managers are rummaging through their storage closets in search of extra 4s to display on their pumps, and many are coming up short.

In Virginia they had to amend the law that says that they have to show the "Actual" price... Many of the pumps at the "Mom & Pop" stores only read 3.99 on the dial so they had to get permission to show it by the 1/2 gallon price...

 

well that's an easy solution, don't set the prices so high

 

I think we just found a write in for President

 

today I went to fill up and they had two different sets of prices.
one set for cash and one set for debit/credit. the credit prices were higher by 4 cents a gallon. how fuct is that!

 

the loves down the street does that (4 cents more per gallon for debit/credit)

 

There is a place near me that is at $3.98 right now, and they give a 10 cents per gallon discount for cash!!! BUT, they also have A LOT of lumber trucks that fill up there too...

 

I've seen that happen around here too.

The reason for the price diff is for having the credit system in the store, since they are charged monthly by usage for having it. But, yes its bs none the less.....
