Twice that I got a new oil filter from the same NAPA and they both had junk in them. The first one had metal filings 2nd one had pine tree needles. Pretty sure they need to find out which plant made them.
I could see metal which is still bad but pine needles?! Ha wow, not a fan of Napas myself, but they are made by Wix which is a good brand..... I use fleet Gaurd myself.
About this time last year, had a Wix filter from O'Reilleys start leaking. Thought it was the seal. Turned out that it was where the housing is glued, pressed, or welded to the top steel piece.
