A lake that small couldn't support a 7lb fish. Even in the great lakes here, a 7lb Bass is huge, 4lb is more reasonable, and the biggest I've caught was 5.6lbs... NY does hold the record for freshwater Striped Bass though, 55 lb 4oz. I saw a picture of it once, I did a double take cause at first I thought it was a big Catfish.

that is 3 if its lucky. but a nice bass regardless

actually it could hold a 7 pounder. I fish a lot of farm ponds that arent even an acre and pull out5- 6 pounders.
a seven pounder in the northeast is huge because our growing season is half of what it is in the south. a seven pounder here = over a 12 pounder down south

Huh, never thought of that... I don't fish down south at all, when we go on a trip, its up north to Quebec, and its usually for Walleye, not Bass. Although I will be on Oneida Lake here in a few weeks for the Bass Pro Tournament. Cabin's right on the lake, and our farm is just up Fish Creek. Should get to see some of the best fishermen in the world doing what they do best.
