that type of surgery is meant for very large people who cannot loose weight no matter what they do it is a last ditch effort....330 is not big unless you are midget..have you tried and stuck with a excersie and healthy eating plan?....i know a guy who had it done and he now is having a hard time keeping weight on and he is down to about 150 from 500+...

I know a couple people that have had this done. It only works if you are willing to make a lifestyle change. You have to eat better food and less of it. If you don't you will be back to your old size in a few years.
The loose skin is what's going to kill you. You have to work out to try and tighten it or it's going to droop everywhere.
I personally think you should do it with diet and exercise. You'll lose the weight but it'll be more natural and your body will adjust better. I'm on a down swing now. In the last 2 months I've lost a little over 30lbs. I was at 283 and am now 251. If I can make the commitment you can.
My typical schedule is 45 minutes on an elliptical or some type of cardio M-F, lift for 35 minutes M,W,F and i do 300 stomach crunches every day. So at most I have 1 1/2 into it. You CAN get a schedule going. It's easier than you think. You'll find you'll have lots of extra time if you're not busy eating or watching TV.
Eat more frequently, at least 4 times a day, but don't make them all full meals. 2 need to be just light, quick snacks. Try and eat your heaviest meal in the middle of your day.
You can do it the natural way. If you want to spend money join a Weight Watchers when you get home. I tried it a few years ago but quit going. You'll be amazed how fast you lose the weight. It sucks at first but your body will get used to it.
Do it natural, man. You'll be better off.

I totaly agree with Johnny.. When i had my C section with Lexi they stapled 5 layers of skin tissue together, it hurt like hell, you have a risk of infection, and it takes a good two years to get anyfeeling there.. So goin through what you want to sounds the same, but instead of a baby its fat..,, get into a fit for life program Logy, it sets you up with proper meals, fitness, excersises for specific areas, and T-k-wan do is very good for all the muscle tighing and stregthening.
good luck , good for you to take action on it....

The best way to lose weight is to take "out" more then you take "in".
I also agree with Johnny, eat more frequently but not full meals.
If you want to spend money, buy a treadmill start out by walking, atleast 30 minutes and work your way up to running 30 mins. Remember the weight didnt get there overnight it isn't going to go away overnight. You will start to feel much better.
