CumminsCrazed,
Here is what you need SIR KEN-1
That is exactly what I use with my Kenwood KDC-X590 head unit and it works great. or you could go the xm route with this

I don't know how we ever survived without satellite radio

Personally I feel the music selections are way better, more variety and news as well, Nascar of course for me is a big deal too! I could do without the Howard Stern and Martha Stewart though-LOL

I like sirius but have heard others say xm signal is stronger for them. I think it depends on location. I had this discussion at :q: another :q: forum already. Sirius satellites are not geostationary so that may be why. They will be adding another satellite which will be geostationary in 2008.

The programming suits me fine and I am happy with sirius as I am sure xm users are with that setup.

Ive had both and here's the deal.
XM-better music and comedy, i listen to nothin but comedy and xm has 4 channels compared to 2 i believe on sirius

Sirius-better sports and stuff like that.

As for me, i like xm more because, like i said, i listen to nothin but comedy

That said, in my opinion the full cd players w/built in sat. are about the same for both, but the cheaper units that stick to your dash like i have, sirius seems to have higher quality as far as the install kits and the antenna on the sirius seems stouter.

As far as the merger, go to xmradio.com/promise i believe is the exact site, and they say that all existing hardware will work fine after the merger, nothing will change but hopefully itll have the best of both worlds.

Just as a side note my friend is a big Opie and Anthony fan (xm) he worries Howard (Sirius) is gonna run them off after the big merger.

Me, I mostly listen to the rock stuff on sirius 20,24,28,29 on long drives talk radio is good or comedy sometimes.
