Yeah it's a 6.0. I think the big money one has the LS7 too but I can't remember.

PHS is good stuff. If you see that a car has been documented by them you can pretty much bet it's on the up and up.

it was in Hot Rod maganzine and i think there are three levels of it . im guessing LS1, LS2, and LS7. by the way if you get a LSX block it can hold 30 PSI of boost. so you can take the turbo off your diesel truck and use it. the block can displace 364 CI to 486CI i think

I finally got a T/A!! I have been looing for one for around 7 years and finally found one. The 403 thats in the car runs fine so far but it needs an oil change and probably wouldnt be a bad idea to get a valve grind set for it and replace every gasket on the SOB. I figure I would just run what's in it until the short block I have in the storage is built up. It's .040 over, performer RPM cam, RPM intake, Hooker headers, and MSD Distributor. Just lack heads and an oil pan. Another problem with it is it will no fit the shaker scoop with a performer rpm intake and carb so I will have to do some searching there.

dumb question here.... what's the point of finding a full numbers matching car, restore it and put in a non numbers matching block? just a question not a criticism....

but sweet car though...

we are running whats in it for now. So far we have only ran the car for about 20-30 sec as long as we dont find any big problems with it thats what we are going to keep in it for while. It just happens that we have a 403 in storage. Even if in the future we do pull the block out thats in it now we will still have it and can put it back in if need be. We have no idea what the car has been through in its life but we do know it was owned by a dumb high school kid for awhile that rigged a few things on it.

Finding this car as a numbers matching car was just luck. We actually just liked the condition that the car was in and then found out it was numbers matching.

You could always switch things out and keep the numbers matching stuff just in case you go to sell it someday.

Can you tell I don't like stock vehicles yet?

I vote Bandit!
Same thing I had asked her. Being #'s matching and the gold color package is a good looking one as well, I would leave it. That is going to be a fun car. I always had a thing for those. I almost bought an 80 model when I was 17, but it was trashed and needed more work than I could afford.

Honestly, swapping the motors isn't a bad idea. If you run the other 403 and something goes wrong, you still have the #'s matching motor to go with the car. I would def go that route.

Sweet T/A. NOW is the time to pick one of those up. They're popularity is really growing around here. With the inevitable shortage of 69 camaro's that everyone loves (myself included of course), these are the obvious next in line. It may need some work, but the body looks nice and straight... plus it runs and it's numbers matching... what a great find!

ZZ572 anyone? I'd have a hard time putting a fuelie motor or any form or aturbo/supercharger setup. Far too modern. Big double pumper, radical cam, etc... ahhhhh.... one of these days....

good luck fitting that under the hood. the only way you gonna drive is on the track because if you runnin a ZZ572 it takes race gas and will be a super gas hog. i got a good idea take the 403 turbo charge it and that will put nice power. a guy in HOT ROD did it and got the front wheels to lift up a inch when lanching. intercool it and it will be nice setup
