I am cutting a place that takes about 6 hours to cut. What is a good price? I am doing this once a week and it cost me about 120$ for fuel and wear and tear on my mower?

 

Don't know about NC but I would charge $55.00 per hour plus fuel.

 

what is the Acreage(sp)?

if i was doing it i'd prolly charge $100 and not realize the loss i'm taking till it's way too late....

I'd take your normal hourly rate for continuous acreage (if that is what it is) and add the $25 an hour in overhead. That would give you your quote.

I do all my quotes with this in mind.... Never bid less than you want to make.
It always leaves you wandering how much money you left on the table.

Even if I don't get the bid, There is always another lawn to cut... Good Luck.

my mom has almost 4 acres and has a guy come mow the pasture he charges her $80. That was last year though when diesel was alot cheaper, he hasnt came by yet this year so who knows.

 

That sounds way too cheap even for last year... sounds like he was borrowing someone else shredder and just looking for pocket money.
