I will check mine tonight when I get home. I had the same issue.

Incoming was POP3, outgoing was SMTP w/security.

I know there's button they (ISP) had be select, but I need to be in front of the PC to tell you what it says.

Default Here is what I did.

Open Outlook
Tools menu Select Accounts
Select mail tab
Select properties button

Select Servers tab
Outgoing mail server - check (my server requires auth.)<this is what I was missing>
Settings button - select use same settings as incoming mail server

Select Advanced Tab
Confirm settings....
Outgoing SMTP - port 25
incoming POP3 - port 110

The other thing you need to check is that the web based mail (ISP) usernames match the account you are setting up in Outlook.

Let me know how you make out. Hope this fixes your mail.
