Here's a novel idea...put it in a savings account and keep your grubby paws off of it until you ACTUALLY need it.

How do you know when you're supposed to get your check? What if mine came and someone else got it out of my mailbox?

You can look it up online to see when yours should be there. It's based off of the last 2 digits of your SSN. If you filed your taxes electronically then you'll get the stimulus check electronically.
