It's OK, bud. Just dump all of the oil out and only put 1 1/2 qts back in. It'll at least sound like a diesel then......for a little bit.

The dark side is so nice. That 6.0 will do just fine. It ain't no diesel, but it'll pull whatever you want to throw at it.

i like it, at least it has no rust. also i like the looks of the 2500hd has the bumped up hood. it sits lower but rides way better!
i guess i'll be the only diesel bomber with a gasser... i'll still support the site.

how do i find out what transmission i have??

You have the 6.o so you have the 4L80E. That's the only auto you could get.

The 2500HDs did come with Allisons as long as you got the Duramax or the 8.1L.

MY FIL has a 2500 CC SB with the 6.0. If he keeps it at around 65 he can get almost 13 on the highway. The nice thing about these LS series of motors is that there is a ton of upgrades out there for them. You can really wake them up with headers, good cats and exhaust and a different MAF sensor. There are some decent programmers out there too or you can get custom tuning done if you can find someone in your area.
