Hey all my niece is haveing problems with her car.. she says 1991 ford mustang 2.3 cylinder auto it cuts out when you give it a shot of gas the code number is 222 that the garage checked and they can;t find the problem. .any input would be appreciated.....or a site i can send them ..... TIA

she has a bad throttle position sensor. they are notorious for going bad on 2.3's i have had to replace mine on my ranger 3 times.

tell her to look at the stock part number on it. it should be E7DF-9B989-AA and if so then is it part number TPS215 at Autozone and cost $23.99USD.

if the factory part number is F2AF-9B989-AA then it is part number TPS232 also from Autozone and is $28.99USD
