correct, if you look at the majority of the new guest who have signed up over the last year I wold feel safe saying 75% have never posted a single post.
when I was on staff we wanted to have a min. post count that a member would have to have before being allowed to access the badlands, and certain members cried about how that was unfair and we realized it would lead to more BS post out in the open since they would have to meet that threshold and obviously weren't here for the trucks.
I have had NEW members tell me they have recieved PM's from certain staff member(s) with a link to the badlands and the password. they were repulsed by what was in there and at times asked me to remove their membership because they didn't want to be on a site that promoted that stuff so aggressively.
so we have lost members because of the badlands, but unfortunately we have gained far more because of it and it is the only place they visit other than the introduction section.
word of mouth advertises free **** better than any type of advertising on the net.... and some people's mouth's are bigger and louder than others....
and on this, I was told my an IB employee that this particular person, brought more traffic to the site than any other person / member / staff member, and this person post 99% of his post in the badlands, SO, I just put 2 and 2 together because the 1% that is posted out in the "open" is far short of being spectacular in it's content...

No one is being forced to enter the badlands. If you want to go into the off topic sections you have that choice and the badlands is password protected so its not like its an open door anyways.
You can't have just a truck only website honestly how long do you think a new member will sit and talk about his truck before they are bored and leave? We need to find a way to co-exist and have peace between the badlands and the truck sections.
One of the reasons I stick to the badlands is because I can't post anything outside of it without being slandered and shunned. I have offered peace and even told them to send me a Pm and we can talk it out but they don't want peace.
I do get on and talk about trucks occasionally but I am on the badlands more because its fun and I'm not getting slammed for making a comment.
Just my .02 I think we need to make either a rule of no slandering and harassment and enforce it which would stop all of this nonsense or this will continue to go on. DB is a big site and it isn't going anywhere but we really do need some peace.

I didn't have a job here dumbass... I volunteered COUNTLESS hours building up one of the largest Tech libraries for 7.3's on any diesel site. I volunteered COUNTLESS hours helping members with there... wait for it... Diesel truck issues...

Well after I got fed up with your bullshit I went to cumminsforum and guess what.. they have one off topic section.. other then that it is dedicated to cummins powered diesels! If you want a site that has the diesel industry on a side page then go some where else.. I'm not forcing you to. I'm telling you.. cause after being on there for a month or so.. that website is informational. Not a lot of bullshit. Just mainly tricks, and more trucks. And theyre is always a new post.. so your arguement is invalid..
