ADSL Or Cable Internet?

i'd look at available speeds for each. that'll be the speed deciding factor. i've used both and both to me are stable. i guess it depends on the speed of each and price. i can only get DSL where i am at so it was a no brainer to me. if you get cable with your tv service then there should be some sort of discount available there. the guy i work with has cable, VOIP phone service and cable tv with 1 provider. it was cheaper than his old dsl, phone line and cable tv setup before.
Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) is a form of DSL, a data communications technology that enables faster data transmission over copper telephone lines than a conventional voiceband modem can provide. It does this by utilizing frequencies that are not used by a voice telephone call. A splitter - or microfilter - allows a single telephone connection to be used for both ADSL service and voice calls at the same time. Because phone lines vary in quality and were not originally engineered with DSL in mind, it can generally only be used over short distances, typically less than 3mi (5 km).
from what i can take this is standard DSL as you can use the phone and be online at the same time

Well I have cable right now (we also use VOIP) and after recently moving, my downloads are 4.4 MBps and uploads are 469 kBps. Just wondering if DSL will be any faster (I know pretty tough question to answer over the internet). Currently paying ~41.00 per month but can get DSL (12 months) for $25 a month. Definitely cheaper to go with DSL.
Anyway, just kind of thinking out loud and wondering what you guys use.
