Thanks man. I am pretty much over it for the most part, but still brings back a ton of memories every time I see other people riding with their black Labrador which is quite often. But now, its happy memories of being in the yard playing with her, not such horrid depression anymore. She will be greatly missed and loved. I appreciate everyone's help and support. Anyone else have anything to say?

I feel for you man it is never easy seeing an animal go no matter what circumstance. Im 20 and we just had to put my black lab down after 16 years of fun memories, it sucks

Yeah, it sucks man. Time will help it heal, but there is always the scar. I know how tough it is. Did yours pass on from age?

No,I told my mom that we would have to put her down she was too strong of a dog to just pass. In the end she couldnt get up on her own (bad knees) and I couldnt take seeing her struggle anymore, sometimes you got to do whats best even though you might not like it.

Dang man. I bet that was a tough day at the house. Did that black lab have a name?

Being that you've found all of your dogs to have heartworms, why not just put them on heartworm pills in the future? It's not very expensive. You can't do it right now, but after they're cleared up you may want to look into it.

Sorry about your loss, never easy losing a dog.

We found out there is a pill we can give them once a month as a preventive step that we'll be giving them after they clear up. We are more than alright with spending the money to save the others.

Know how you feel, just lost a little 12 year old minpin. Kind of hard when they lay on your lap everynight to lose them. Don't have a house dog now, first time I can ever remember in my 52 years. Got a two year old ausie that thinks she should be.

I can't imagine people who don't like dogs, always glad to see you no matter how bad things seem. Sorry for your lose, I feel it threw mine.
