What Type Of Advertising Draws YOU In?
Hey Guys and Gals!
We're working on re-structuring our local advertising! In your local area, what most draws your attention?
We're doing a couple diffrent things
TV
Magazine
Newpaper
Radio
Bulk Mail
We're trying to keep local only! The only reason we're here is to support Diesel Bombers and Everyone here with their part needs! This is the only real internet sales we're doing besides our new website!
Whats your thoughts?
Thanks
Lucas

Word of mouth has always been the best marketing tool over any advertising. SO, why do we advertise? To get something in front of your eyes so that WHEN you hear from someone that a product worked on their truck you remember seeing the ad which drives a person to start looking for the item. Effective marketing is advertising in avenues available, being present at events, and talking with the consumers about their concerns and needs.

I hate getting mailers they get thrown away.
Door hangers make me made because I have all those rubber bands around my door ****.
Email is Shift+deleted and never looked at.
Pop ups are closed.
Radio commercials I change the channels.
TV Commercials see Radio Commercials.
The most effective marketing for me has been, Koozies, pens, note pads, bracelets, trade shows and just getting the name out as much as possible. I leave atleast 10-15 ink pens a day, everywhere I sign my credit card slip I use my pen and leave it.
We have recently started going to local businesses and leaving our fliers of the counters and that helps more generate new leads than anything. People are then looking at it IF they want to.

TV is actully one of my strong parts, We own 2 other Companys that use the local cable system, i can use the Auto fill for virtually nothing! Plus, It'll have a nice little bumb for diesel bombers!
Radio is somthing I've been thinking of! I think that if guys are out on a job site, There more likely to not chage it unless they have the remote! Theres alot of diesel trucks on jobsites!
I'll probably push more in the advertising the diesel performance than service! While I'm pretty experienced in the service area, Folks look at my age, and decide they dont want me working on there truck. Although, most of the guys at local dealership I know are younger!
Word of mouth has been great, and is still working, but in the starting phases of a company, I think you make some folks mad. For one, I've got alot of folks that come in, With the answer to there question and tell me what they want to hear...I'm sorry, If it's going to mess your truck up, I WILL tell you your wrong!
just in a nice way!
I've made a couple people mad just in the bussle of getting everthing orginized. Now I'm out to really step it up a notch! Any advice? Thanks for all the help here!
